I guess this is what you would call a blog takeover. Yes, I’m quite literally taking over Bob’s blog for a little while, as this is the sixth in a collaborative series between me, Kashish Jain, and Professor Bob Cargill, born from a summer 2025 partnership. Here’s a confession: I used to think confidence was the prerequisite for posting online, that I had to feel ready before I could share.

But frankly, confidence isn’t the prerequisite, it’s the result.

Here’s how the loop works: When you post something, someone relates to it, and that makes you feel seen. That sense of connection encourages you to post again, and with each cycle, your confidence continues to grow.

That’s been my experience over and over, especially working with Professor Bob. Bob doesn’t wait until every word is perfect. He trusts his voice, shares his perspective, and lets the process build the momentum. Watching him has been a reminder that “ready” isn’t a feeling, it’s a habit you build.

When I first started putting myself out there more, my voice felt shaky. But every time someone commented “This is exactly what I needed today” or “I’ve been there too,” it chipped away at that self-doubt. Over time, I realized my quirks, tone, and perspective weren’t weaknesses, they were my strengths.

If you’re holding back because you’re waiting to feel confident, try flipping the equation. Share first. Let the belief catch up later.
